本项目占地7.14公顷，总建筑面积3.7万平方米，共分为A段廊道、B段主体建筑、C段廊道三部分，其中，A段和C段廊道为地上三层，B段主体建筑左侧为地上五层，右侧为地上三层，建筑总高度为23.4米，工程总投资3.8亿元，是集港口客运、餐饮、商业、办公、住宿和长途汽车客运、公交客运、出租车、私家车、轨道交通等多种配套服务、多种交通方式于一体的大型综合交通枢纽，成为面向环渤海、华东和华北地区的国际客货运枢纽中心。
通过应用BIM技术，复杂工序通俗易懂，操作更为便捷，拉近了普工和技术工人的差距，无形中降低了施工成本。
通过在本项目中的不断摸索与实践，在施工模拟、复杂机电分析、图纸会审、方案优化、技术交底等方面的应用，BIM技术让复杂事物从繁至简，实现了施工部署的超前性、指导施工的实用性。
